Wag the Dog (1997)

Baltimore Pictures, United States

Wag the dog was a very cool movie. I really enjoyed the cast and the story line. The public relations professionals in the movie are clearly very unethical. I believe the objective this part of our class was to understand the implications of a faulty PR campaign. I understand that the movie is very surreal because it was a work of Hollywood, however it is still amusing and informative. I never really thought of Public Relations in that light until I had seen the film. I like how the director Barry Levinson used Robert De Niro’s stern characteristics against Dustin Hoffman’s clumsy, hilarious antics. The blend of the two personalities was very amusing and made for great turnout in this film.
